Getting started on BushTrade is simple:

1. **Visit the login page** — Go to the BushTrade app 2. **Choose a sign-in method:** - **Google** — Sign in with your Google account - **Email Magic Link** — Get a login link sent to your email - **Email OTP** — Receive a one-time code via email 3. **Complete onboarding** — Add your name, province, phone, and avatar 4. **Start exploring** — Browse listings, create your own, or join a circle

No password needed — BushTrade uses modern passwordless authentication for better security.

Verified accounts build trust in the community:

**Verification levels:** • **Basic** — Email or phone confirmed • **Verified** — Identity documents submitted and reviewed • **Trusted** — Long-standing member with positive track record

**Benefits of verification:** • Higher visibility for your listings • Verified badge on your profile • Increased trust from other users • Priority in search results

**How to get verified:** • Complete your profile with accurate information • Maintain a good track record with successful rentals • Keep your contact information up to date

BushTrade has different account roles:

**Renter (Default):** All new users start as Renters and can immediately: • Browse and search listings • Send inquiries to owners • Create equipment, land, and service listings (for rent or sale) • Join and create community circles • Manage bookings and rentals

**Moderator:** • Review and moderate flagged content • Handle scam reports • Assist with community management

**Admin:** • Full platform management • User management and role assignment • Access to analytics and insights

Moderator and admin roles are assigned by platform administrators.

Keep your profile current for the best experience:

**Editable fields:** • Full name • Phone number • Province and location • Avatar/profile photo • Preferred equipment categories • Search radius preference

**How to update:** 1. Navigate to your Profile page 2. Edit the fields you want to change 3. Save your changes

**Tips:** • A complete profile gets more inquiries • Accurate location helps with local search results • Update your preferred categories to see relevant listings first

Keep your account secure:

**Authentication:** • BushTrade uses passwordless login — no passwords to steal • Sessions expire automatically for your protection • Login attempts are rate-limited to prevent brute force

**Protect yourself:** • Don't share your login codes with anyone • Log out from shared devices • Keep your email and phone number up to date • Report any suspicious activity immediately

**If you suspect unauthorized access:** 1. Log out from all devices 2. Contact support immediately 3. Check your recent activity 4. Update your contact information if compromised

Stay informed without being overwhelmed:

**Notification types:** • Inquiry responses on your listings • Rental booking confirmations • Circle membership updates • Platform announcements • Security alerts

**Delivery channels:** • In-app notifications • Email (for important updates) • WhatsApp (optional)

Keep your contact details updated to receive important notifications about your rentals and listings.

If you need to leave BushTrade:

**Before deleting:** • Complete any active rentals • Settle outstanding payments • Download any data you need • Remove active listings

**What happens when you delete:** • Your profile is removed • Your listings are archived • Your circle memberships end • Reviews you've written remain anonymous • This action cannot be undone

**To request account deletion:** Contact our support team. We'll process your request within 7 business days in accordance with privacy regulations.
